Dance Recitals
The Pandemic has caused quite a bit of disruption in the world of Dance. But we are inspired by the creative ways that Dance Schools have learned to leverage technology to keep their schools alive.
During 2020 we launched our Virtual Dance Recital service in which parents would film their children doing their routine at home and we would edit all of the dancers in each number together so that they were dancing on screen at the same time. We had over 7000 videos uploaded to our server.
The 2021 season is likely to look a little different than 2020, but probably not back to normal. Champion Video has several options to help you hold a high quality show and profit by selling tickets to your show just like you normally would. Continue reading to see the different ways in which we can partner with you to bring your dancers to the stage!
While we will still offer our completely virtual show for those schools that may still need it, we believe that 2021 is going to be a combination of In Studio Recitals or Limited Audience Recitals.
IN STUDIO RECITALS
For areas that can't find a theater to rent, the In Studio Recital might be your best option. Champion Video can bring in pipe and drape, colored background lights, front lighting, sound, and video (including livestreaming). We can transform your studio space into a stage. While your studio probably wouldn't have enough space to include seating, we can run our video feed into other areas of your facility or stream it live to the internet.
There are other creative ways to be able to sell tickets as well. Last year we had one school that had us record their show in their studio, but then we played their show a few weeks later at a Baseball Stadium on the jumbotron. The stadium was able to have over a thousand people attend while still being socially distanced. Everyone had a great time and the studio was still able to profit by holding their show that way.
IN PERSON RECITALS
Theaters:
There are some venues that are allowing outside groups to come in and have their recital/showcase. However, in almost all cases, they are limiting their audience size. We are able to livestream your show and set up ticketing as well. While the ticketing agency will get a percentage of your ticket sale, it's generally based on a per ticket basis so you don't have to worry about losing money by using a ticketing agency.
CONFERENCE CENTERS
Not only can we bring in pipe and drape, lights, sound, and video, but we can also bring in the stage! If you have a big open space, we can transform it into a theater. Although you will likely have to limit your audience, you will have more flexibility on how to arrange the seating to keep family groups together while socially distancing each group. And for those people that aren't able to make the in person show, you can still offer the option to buy a live streaming ticket.
With limited audience, you may want to think about doing several small shorter shows throughout the day and cycle your audience.
